Ms Chan has close to 15 years of experience in corporate responsibility and sustainability management, and is now the managing director of PIE Strategy. PIE is a boutique consultancy specialising in helping companies develop bespoke sustainability strategies and management systems.
Previously, Ms Chan was the global director of corporate responsibility and sustainability of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels group which owns and operates The Peninsula Hotels. Ms Chan was responsible for leading HSH Group’s global sustainability strategy, including devising the Group’s long-term vision for sustainable luxury and engaging HSH’s teams around the world in integrating sustainability into the heart of the business. She also managed HSH’s award-winning sustainability management and reporting framework, leading HSH to become a Global Reporting Initiative’s G4 Pioneer and part of CDP’s Climate Disclosure Leadership Index for the region.
Ms Chan also worked at Swire Pacific Group, managing group-level corporate responsibility policies and strategies for Swire group companies, and served as Hong Kong staffer at APEC Business Advisory Council. Ms Chan serves on the advisory board of London-based Ethical Corporation and a number of government and industry committees in the area of sustainability and social responsibility in Hong Kong.
