Dominic Scott Dominic Scott leads Government Affairs & Strategy for the Asia-Pacific region, reporting directly to Cisco’s global Senior Vice President for Government Affairs. Over nearly two decades, Dominic has played a major role in building Cisco’s Public Sector business in Asia-Pacific, including leading its regional sales, marketing and business development teams. Dominic has advised governments on ICT, communications and productivity in Greater China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia and ASEAN. Most recently, he was on a special assignment, reporting to Cisco's President for Asia-Pacific, to develop and drive National Engagement Strategies with countries across the region. In 2011, Dominic created and continues to oversee a group within Cisco focusing on CSR and Social Innovation. Initiatives currently underway address issues related to human capital development, entrepreneurship and community empowerment across Asia-Pacific. On E-government, Dominic was the designer and moderator of a series of summits in China and India which brought together several hundred senior-level government officials from more than 30 countries. He has appeared on CNN, CNBC and in other print and broadcast media around the region. Dominic has more than 25 years of Asia-Pacific government and business experience. In addition to 17 years with Cisco, Dominic spent nearly 8 years with the Canadian Foreign Service. His diplomatic postings included Hong Kong, Taipei and shorter-term assignments in Beijing and Shanghai. Outside of Asia-Pacific, Dominic has lived and worked in North America, Europe and the Middle East. Dominic holds a Bachelor of Arts, First Class Honours, in Asian Studies from McGill University in Canada and has completed further studies at Nanjing Normal University in China and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. |
