Organising intergenerational learning activities to bring positive change to the elderly and children
The venture aims to foster positive change for elderly people and children by linking them up through regular intergenerational learning. Elderly people in elderly homes and elderly centres, who may have little direct interaction with society, will be connected 1:1 with students from primary schools to build a relationship through art, music and exercise. Both old and young will learn new skills and enhance their sense of purpose and self-esteem.
A series of 5 self-developed ACE (Anchor Children With Elders) workbook will be adopted to facilitate communication between children and elderly. The children will use ACE to create a personalised life book as gifts for the elderly by the end of the programme.
