Providing a holistic relief solution for families suffering from multiple crises
Families facing simultaneous medical, financial and social crises are most vulnerable and prone to making irrational decisions such as domestic violence, suicide and crime. The venture targets to provide a holistic relief solution for six months to 16 “crisis families” who are suffering from multiple crises to mitigate the extent of the burning issues of such families to a more manageable level. It is expected that 14 of these 16 families will be elevated to a more stable level.
The target families must fulfil all four criteria, including (i) absence of breadwinners, (ii) multiple illnesses, (iii) extreme poverty, and (iv) with a motivated mindset. Cases will be referred by NGOs, schools and the Social Welfare Department and due diligence checking will be performed by social workers of the project team.
The holistic relief solution will include core services to be provided by an in-house team comprising social workers, psychologists and therapists; and medical treatments to be outsourced.
