Provision of affordable maintenance service for elderly by recycling unwanted construction materials
In collaboration with District Councils of Tsuen Wan, Kwai Tsing, Eastern District and North District, Longevity Design House endeavours to promote the concept of “Ageing in Place” through utilising unwanted construction materials to provide affordable minor maintenance service for singleton elders. Elderly who live alone in public housing or government-subsidised housing can subscribe for a one-year maintenance plan at HK$1,200 to enjoy unlimited number of maintenance service within that year, which is at about half the price a usual maintenance company will charge.
The venture will also partner with NGOs to run training programmes for developers and construction companies to encourage donation of unwanted construction materials whereby the project’s operating cost can be reduced and environmental awareness will be enhanced.
