Providing golden-aged women caregivers with community-based team sports training and support
The venture will provide 92 caregivers (including 46 from low-income families) each with 8 sessions of team sports experience class. Among these participants, 64 caregivers will further receive 40 sessions of exercise training and related support services including physical fitness checks, aiming to improve their physical well-being and establish a network of mutual support among caregivers.
Six participating caregivers with potentials and the passion to promote sports will receive further training and internship to become coaches’ assistants.
The venture will also engage gym rooms, private venues, NGOs and other spaces in the community to open up their spaces, especially during idle hours for the participants to practise sports and to advocate a sports-friendly community.
