Enhancing the autonomy of the homeless, grassroots children and the elderly through co-creating solutions
The venture aims to tackle problems faced by various groups: homeless people lacking social networks; students of low-income families lacking opportunities and motivation for self-directed learning; and the elderly lacking a sense of autonomy in using elderly-support facilities. They are in need of autonomy in their lives and opportunities to gain a sense of self-worth and competence to improve their quality of life and mental health.
The venture will empower 90 service users through co-creation workshops for designing solutions. Equal importance is placed on the capacity building of the staff of service units. In addition to enabling participants to experience design thinking as an approach to co-creation, the programme will provide training workshops for children, the elderly and homeless people to deepen the concepts and application of self-directed learning and self-directed living.
