Providing training and internship opportunities for persons in recovery from mental illness to equip themselves as pottery and ceramic instructors
The venture aims to equip five persons in recovery (PIRs) from mental illness as pottery and ceramic instructors. The venture will provide them with 15 hours of job training and 10 hours of internship as assistant instructors to support professional and experienced instructors in five trial classes. After they have completed the training and passed an examination, they will be the main instructors in 10 trial classes while the professional instructors will be assistant instructors.
In addition, the venture will provide ceramic trial classes for 75 youths who are interested in pottery and ceramics and concerned about mental wellness.
At the end of the project, the venture will organise a mental wellness sharing session and establish a mutual support platform for the PIRs to share their experience and encourage other PIRs to join the programme.
It is expected that 75 youths and five PIRs will benefit.
