Using a career-themed card game and experiential workshops to help autistic youths get prepared for career development
The venture aims to address the issue of high job turnover rate of autistic youths, minimise the gap in career preference and expectation between autistic youths and their parents, and offer more job opportunities that fit autistic youths’ interest and abilities.
The venture will develop a new career-themed card game as a communication tool and host innovative family workshops for autistic youths to join with their parents/guardians. Autistic youths will be able to explore their interest in career and understand the entry requirements and expectation of various jobs in a fun environment and through experiential learning experiences.
In partnership with experienced industry practitioners, the venture also provides job taster for autistic youths who are interested in AutoCAD and furniture assembly. Upon a better understanding of the abilities and work attitudes of autistic youths, participating employers may provide internship or placement opportunities for them in future.
