Selecting and providing toys suitable for SEN children to cope with their early childhood development needs
The venture’s beneficiaries are children with special educational needs (SEN), such as Autism and Attention Deficit and / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Catering to the early childhood development needs of SEN children, the venture will curate suitable toys to prepare toy boxes for them to promote learning through high quality educational toys. The toys will be selected by members of the project team with experience in work related to SEN children.
The venture will issue pre-assessment questionnaires to subscribing families. Based on questionnaires completed by the parents and advice of the team’s professionals, suitable toys will be curated and delivered to these families every month.
Experts’ write-up, short videos on playing skills and a personalised developmental chart will be available on the project’s website to help parents monitor their children’s learning progress.
Besides, the venture will organise workshops and seminars on SEN-related information and topics. It will also share its resources on professional knowledge about children development and, in collaboration with NGO partners, donate toy boxes to low-income families.
