A one-stop platform to support parents with kids suffering from glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
Currently, there is a lack of support for parents with kids suffering from glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, in particular for those from the underprivileged groups. They find it difficult in obtaining sufficient information about this disease and giving proper care to cater to the needs of their kids.
The venture aims to provide a one-stop platform to offer support to parents of kids with G6PD deficiency. An online database with products applicable to kids with the disease will be built to help their parents find suitable commodities or food products. It also serves as a platform for parents to exchange relevant knowledge and share experience.
To help kids with G6PD deficiency understand more about the disease and learn how to protect themselves, different types of specially designed activities and interest classes will also be held. The project will also promote public awareness of the disease with a view to building a safe and healthy living environment for kids with G6PD deficiency.
