Providing minor home repair services for elderly people living alone

 

 

 

The venture aims to provide minor home repair services (such as basic home safety assessment and simple repair, including safety handrail installation and household appliance check-up/ maintenance) and emotional support to the elderly living alone.

Fifty retired young-olds will be recruited as volunteers to provide the service. Basic training on home repairs techniques and communication skills will be provided.

The venture targets to serve 360 elderly living alone. Among them, 300 underprivileged households will receive the service for free and 60 normal households will pay a one-off service fee at an affordable price per job.
