Organising workshops to enhance the mental health of grassroots youths
The venture aims to build a social safety net by enhancing the mental health of grassroots youths through Lego Serious Play workshops and sharing by persons in recovery from mental illness. Lego Serious Play is a tool widely adopted for team building, enhancing innovation of team members and business performance within organisations. It has also been applied to youth education in recent years. According to a research in Taiwan, Lego Serious Play is proven to enhance participants’ mental health.
The project team will organise Lego Serious Play workshops at 12 partner secondary schools. The workshops will be designed and led by Lego Serious Play certified facilitators and their assistants. Besides, persons in recovery from mental illness will be invited to join to share their recovery journey.
The venture will partner with the Department of Social Work of the Hong Kong Baptist University to evaluate the effectiveness of the project and provide training to facilitators and school teachers.
