Designing a memory-training board game for elderly with dementia
The venture aims to design a memory-training board game for elderly with dementia to lessen their short-term memory loss and improve their communication skills through playing the board game.
The venture will recruit 20 elderly without dementia and 10 children as teaching assistants to provide six board game workshops to 10 elderly with dementia and five carers. Playing board games among participants of different age groups helps promote cross-generational integration.
It is expected that 10 elderly with dementia, 20 elderly without dementia, 10 children and five carers will benefit.
