Ninth meeting of the second term Task Force
While many of the Fund’s initiatives have been running in high gear, the Task Force also spares no effort to identify other opportunities of bringing in more measures that will help address the problems of poverty and social exclusion. The ninth meeting of the second term Task Force was held on 27 February to discuss potential initiatives for further facilitation of the development of the social innovation ecosystem. Good Seed Award Presentation Ceremony
SIE Fund's intermediary PolyU Technology and Consultancy Company Limited concluded the second year of the SIE funded Good Seed Programme with an Award Presentation Ceremony held on 25 February. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prof Stephen Cheung, Chairperson of the SIE Fund Task Force, commended PolyU for bringing in about 500 potential social entrepreneurs and 28 innovative ventures to HK's social innovation space in the past two years. Prof Cheung also expressed his aspiration to see more innovative ideas to be incubated and realised through the Good Seed Programme in the coming year.
A social innovation forum was also held following the award presentation ceremony. The two events formed part of PolyU's 80th anniversary celebration activities.
