Proposed Funding Injection into
the "SIE Fund"
It is set out in the Chief Executive’s 2020 Policy Address Supplement that “An injection of $500 million to the SIE Fund will be made in 2021-22”. The proposed funding injection was discussed at the meeting of the Legislative Council Panel on Information Technology and Broadcasting held on 11 January 2021. The Administration’s response to the motion passed at the meeting and a follow-up paper to provide supplementary information requested by Members at the meeting were issued on 22 January 2021 and 26 January 2021 respectively.
